Columbus Gymnastics Academy (CGA) is excited to announce its newly formed competitive gymnastics program. The Reynoldsburg location of CGA has enjoyed a long standing reputation for its excellent recreational program. The goal of the new program is to build on this reputation by offering young athletes an opportunity to learn more skills and focus on the finer points of gymnastics.
CGA plans to offers competition from the beginning levels through advanced including elite. Placement is through a review process with the head coach. We plan to compete in Ohio, throughout the Midwest, across the country, and around the world. Parents of athletes on the girl’s team are required to join and actively participate in the CGA Gymnastics Association, a non-profit organization designed to support the team.
Our team is led by Head Coach George Gorgoi, former Romanian Olympic Coach. Coach George coached the Romanian women’s team for the Olympic Games in Munich in 1972. While in Romania he also coached the Romanian National team for the Olympic Cup. This team earned first position and won five medals.
